Why Read This?

Well...
Maybe you're a single female.
Or maybe you're in your early 20s, trying to make sense of things. (Like how in the world do you make friends now that college is over? Can you just Google that? Where did all the young people go?)
Or maybe you're grieving the loss of a parent.
Maybe you just want something to laugh about.
Or maybe you just feel like a hot mess more days than you'd like to acknowledge.  (It's okay to say yes to this one. Being a hot mess somedays is okay. Now, if you become a crazy lady when you're a hot mess, we'll work on that. No one likes a crazy lady.)
If you answered yes to any of these, this blog is for you! Hopefully as you read you will find encouragement, peace, humor, sarcasm and a large dose of sass to help you make sense of this crazy, tragic, sometimes almost magic, awful, beautiful life. (Big thanks to Darryl Worley for that!)

Also, if you aren't a fan of country music, I will caution you. This blog will contain multiple country music references. Just Google them. You'll probably need to start with Darryl Worley. So in a way, this blog will also educate you, on the best genre of music out there! If you don't agree, have you seen Luke Bryan in jeans? You should probably Google that too, and you can thank me later for that. :)

What this blog won't be is a quick fix for life's problem. If you're looking for that, I wish you the best of luck, as you will need it.

What it will be is full of raw emotions, struggles, and grief, as I deal with the loss of my beautiful mother to breast cancer.

It will deal with life as a 20 something single female. (How many weddings do you have this year? I have five, yes five. That plus one on the invite gets me every time.)

It will deal with me being on my own, and trying to navigate the future and somedays just being a hot mess with it all.

It will also include Jesus. I hope this doesn't turn you off, and I hope you'll stick with me even though I said Jesus. He's my main man, but with that being said I am far from perfect. So far from it. But God's grace covers those imperfections. I hope you will find encouragement from my relationship with him.

Finally, I don't do judging. I won't judge you for being you, and I hope you won't judge for me being the hot mess 20 something, grieving single female I am. Because in spite of that, I think I'm pretty darn awesome.
